Denis Leary

Hailing from Worcester, Mass., Denis Leary has endeared TV audiences since 2004 with his role as gritty New York City firefighter Tommy Gavin on FX’s Rescue Me, a show he also created.
After getting his start in an Emerson College comedy workshop, Leary first became known for an angry rant that he delivered against rock group REM on MTV.
Today, Leary is best known for the hard-hitting nature of his stand-up and his profanity-riddled comedic songs. His most prominent film credits include his voice work for A Bug’s Life and the Ice Age films.
Leary has been married to writer Ann Lembeck since 1989 and the couple has two children.
